SendToQuickBase 5 Release History
NOTE: If you have not renewed your annual maintenance (support/updates), you are not eligible for updates.
NOTE: After updating to version 5.16.1083 or higher, any mapping saved (new or old) in SendToQuickBase Admin requires everyone else in your organization to use version 5.16.1083 or higher of the SendToQuickBase Outlook Add-In. If an attempt is made to use the newer mapping by older SendToQuickBase software, then the message displayed will read "Attempt to load newer mapping than supported by this version of the software."
Version 5.29.1207 - December 7, 2022
- Outlook 2021 (a.k.a. Microsoft 365) now officially supported.
- When saving an item (i.e. email, contact, etc.) into Quickbase, the window showing records to relate to is improved. The initial width of columns for fields of type date, date/time and time-of-day are now wider.
- In the SendToQuickBase Mapping Wizard the field columns on the Field and Sort selection pages are wider making it easier to read long field names.
- In the SendToQuickBase Mapping Wizard the field columns on the Field and Sort selection pages, when a field name is longer than the box, a popup window appears when you hover the mouse over it showing the complete name.
- When entering "is in" the Body in a mapping, a warning is displayed as this may be slow with thousands of records, and also can result in "false positives". That is, a matching value is found, but it is not the field being searched. For example, matching an account number of 123 because the Body contains "123 Main St".
- Fixed issue when using Single Sign On and Outlook running for over 12 hours resulting in a "Bad ticket" message.
Version 5.28.1191 - September 6, 2022
- Attachments can be saved to a different table than the item as individual records. For example, an email can be saved to an Activities table and each attachment can be saved as individual records into a Documents table.
- The filename of an attachment can be mapped into a Quickbase text field by selecting "Attachment Filename" on the field mapping wizard page.
- Problem corrected caused by using Save As and the copied mapping would have "undefined" when it should be "Email Headers and Body (HTML)" mapped to a field.
Version 5.27.1184 - July 19, 2022
- When using Single Sign On (SSO using SAML), in some environments "script" error messages displayed, though did not prevent the logon. Those message are now suppressed.
Version 5.27.1179 - May 11, 2022
- New option to update existing Quickbase record when saving if a matching record is found using a Unique field. For example, when saving a Contact and Email Address is marked Unique on the Quickbase table. This must be enabled in the SendToQuickBase Mapping on the fields screen.
- On the logon window, selection to enter either a Password or Quickbase User Token instead. (It was previously possible to enter a User Token instead of Password. Now there is an explicit selection.)
Version 5.26.1172 - March 31, 2022
- Fix for rare problem when not included Replies in email HTML body resulting in an empty value stored in Quickbase.
Version 5.26.1170 - March 3, 2022
- Fix for support of new Quickbase UTF-8 support.
Version 5.26.1168 - February 11, 2022
- New field mapping Record Count introduced. When saving against more than one "parent" record (i.e. contact, project, etc.), if Record Count is mapped to a numeric Quickbase field, it will be incremented for each record saved, starting from one. This may be helpful for reporting purposes.

- Changes in support of the new Quickbase App property for UTF-8.
Version 5.24.1160 - October 5, 2021

Version 5.23.1157 - September 2, 2021
- Saving an email message with headers (i.e. From, To, Subject, Date, and Body) can be saved into a Rich Text Quickbase field and formatting will be preserved. When creating a mapping, use the "Email Headers and Body (HTML)" selection. Note that Quickbase supports only a subset of HTML tags.
- Saving an Outlook item (i.e. email, calendar, contact, etc.) can be in the form of an Outlook .msg file. In the SendToQuickBase Admin program in the field mapping, look under the "Less Frequency Used" list for "MSG File".
- When using "Save and Send to Quickbase" and the Outlook option "Always check spelling before sending" is set, the spell check is performed.
- The SendToQuickBase Mapping Wizard will auto-configure the new "Email Headers and Body (HTML)" if a Rich Text Quickbase field is found with a name such as "Description", "Details", etc. instead of the textual version "Email Headers and Body".
- A warning is shown in the SendToQuickBase Mapping Wizard if mapping a text field, such as Body, to a Rich Text Quickbase field as it will not display properly.
- A warning is shown in the SendToQuickBase Mapping Wizard if mapping an HTML field, such as HTML Body or "Email Headers and Body (HTML)", to a Text Quickbase field as it will not display properly.
Version 5.22.1144 - May 24, 2021

For example, update calendar items in Quick Base when updated in Outlook, but don't update contacts.
Version 5.17.1111 - December 5, 2019
- When saving, or saving and opening, an item into Quick Base, if you hold down the CTRL key, there will be no prompting to select a related Quick Base record, and no message displayed. Version 5.10.949 - September 27, 2017
- There is a new comparison called "part of is in" when defining a mapping to search for a related parent record where only one of the words is in the Quick Base field value. For example, if you define a search such as:
Company Name part of is in Subject
and you have a Subject "Price for Acme" with a Company Name of "Acme, Inc.", SendToQuickBase will locate that Company record. Be cautious with the use of this new feature as it may locate more records than you realize.
